Mario Cesari

Mario Cesari obtained a master’s degree in industrial engineering in 1992 from the Milan Polytechnic with a thesis on production systems written while at the Frauenhofer Institut Stuttgart, and a MBA from INSEAD in 1997. He began his career in 1992 in the automotive industry at Valeo Thermal Systems in France, China and Malaysia. In 1997, he joined the consulting firm McKinsey & Co. at their French and Swiss offices. From 2001 to 2009, serving in various roles until he became executive director and part of the investment team in US based private equity funds, first with Berkshire Partners in Boston and then with Vestar Capital in Paris. Since 2009 he has been serving as head of corporate development & strategy at TBG Group, a large private industrial holding, where he was appointed EVP and has gained considerable experience in investments, extraordinary transactions and strategic corporate development. He has been a member of the Company’s Board of Directors since 2011. He also serves as director on the Boards of Bantleon GmbH, Petrolvalves S.p.A., Abbon AS and Piovan S.p.A. and as senior advisor for several TBG’s portfolio companies.
