Activated metallic anodes are used to deposit the target metal on cathodes (starting sheets) to form a highly pure product that can be used in different markets and applications. Electrolytic metals like nickel, copper, and cobalt are indispensable materials for a wide range of applications where purity requirements are critical. De Nora’s products are targeting the replacement of lead anodes. 

We offer mixed metal oxide (MMO) anode solutions for conventional divided electrolysis cells (bagged anodes), undivided cells, cylindrical cells for primary metals production or metals recovery, used in chloride electrolyte, mixed sulfate and chloride solutions, and nitrate solutions.

Some of the applications of our titanium mixed metal oxide (MMO) anodes include: 
•    nickel and cobalt electrowinning production, 
•    precious metal refining (gold, silver, rhodium), 
•    recovery of copper from bleed streams, and 
•    retrieval of valuable metals from industrial wastewater. 

The use of De Nora’s anodes in electrowinning applications provide beneficial power savings, enhance productivity, provide a lead-free plated metal cathode product, and avoid the need to treat sludges poisoned by lead.

Our DSA® anodes are used by different industries to recover valuable metals from spent solutions or to adopt small electrowinning plants to minimize waste and promote closed-loop processes.
