Installing DSA® insoluble anodes in conjunction with existing soluble anode baskets can be a cost-effective method to control metal-ion balance in the plating bath. DSA® anodes provide an effect alternative to cost to dummy plating of the baths or decanting bath solutions to maintain the desired plating metal ion concentration.
As the concentration of metal ions increase, plating quality can diminish effecting production operations. Dummy plating or bath decanting incur additional costs associated with lost production or supplementary waste treatment operations.
