De Nora announces acquisition of Ozono Elettronica Internazionale

The acquisition represents a significant development for De Nora, which is pursuing the development and extension of its diversified portfolio with a special focus on the water and agro-food sectors.

Founded in 1970 OEI, an Italian company with headquarters close to Milan, has a strong presence in the international market with more than 1200 worldwide installations in all ozone applications. The company is recognized for its expertise in developing advanced ozone technologies and providing a comprehensive portfolio of products and engineering services. Its integrated offering includes ozone generators, vent destroyers, contact systems, safety and process control devices and accessories as well as complete customized projects and package units for specific applications.

 

“The achievement of this important acquisition,” stated Paolo Dellachà, CEO of De Nora, “is an important first step in attaining our goal to be a leader in meeting the booming demand for innovative water treatment technologies.  This acquisition also creates great synergies that will benefit our customers around the world. For example, the breadth of De Nora’s worldwide footprint will support and enhance OEI’s distribution network, which already covers Europe, USA, Central and South America, China, Taiwan and Korea,”  he added.

“The combination of our technologies will strengthen our role in providing sanitizing solutions to the agro-food industry,” noted Giorgio Padula, Managing Director of the De Nora Next business unit. “The addition of ozone technologies is a perfect complement to the De Nora Next business unit. Its efficacy, and the absolute lack of residual byproducts and odour make it the perfect choice in the food and beverage industries.“

Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
