Mario Cesari obtained a master’s degree in industrial engineering in 1992 at the Milan Polytechnic with a thesis written while at the Frauenhofer Institut Stuttgart, and a master’s degree in business administration at INSEAD in 1997. He began his career in 1992 in the automotive industry at Valeo Thermal Systems in France, China and Malaysia. In 1997, he joined the consulting firm McKinsey & Co. at their offices in Paris and Geneva from 2001 to 2009, serving in various roles until he became executive director and part of the investment team in several private equity funds, first with Berkshire Partners in Boston and then with Vestar Capital in Paris. Since 2009 he has also been serving as Senior Vice President of corporate development & strategy at TBG Group, a private industrial company, where he has gained considerable experience in investments, extraordinary transactions and strategic corporate development. He has been a member of the Company’s Board of Directors since 2001. He is also a member of the boards of directors of Bantleon GmbH, Petrolvalves S.p.A. and Abbon AS and is also a member of Abionic SA’s strategic committee.
